Refund Policy

Bids are final, because what they buy is delivered the moment the payment clears. Here is the whole rule, including the cases that are refunded anyway.

What you are buying

A bid is a one-time purchase of points on a public leaderboard. One US dollar buys one point, and the points are added to the listing as soon as the payment clears, usually within a few seconds. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and nothing to cancel: each bid is charged once and never charged again.

Because the points appear immediately and are public the instant they do, the purchase is fully delivered before you are back on the site. That is why the default answer is no refund.

The rule

  • Bids are non-refundable once the points have been applied to a listing.
  • Being outbid is not a defect. Someone paying more and taking your rank is the entire mechanic of the board, and it is not grounds for a refund. Holding the rank again costs from $1.
  • Points buy position, not results. Traffic, clicks, installs, and revenue are never promised, and their absence is not grounds for a refund.
  • Points paid on a listing that is later removed for breaking the terms of use are not refunded.

What is refunded

Three things can go wrong on our side rather than yours. In each of them you get the full amount back, and you do not have to argue for it.

  • A duplicate charge. The same bid billed twice. The second charge is refunded in full.
  • A payment that never became points. If a charge clears and the listing never receives the points it bought, the charge is refunded in full. Give it a few minutes first: the board can lag the payment by a moment.
  • A listing pulled before delivery. If an app is delisted from its store, or its listing is removed, between your payment clearing and its points being applied, the bid is refunded in full.

How to ask

  • Write to [email protected] with the order or checkout ID from your receipt, the app you bid on, and the amount. That is enough to find the payment.
  • You will get a decision within two business days, and an explanation either way.
  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. How long the money takes to land is up to your bank, and is typically five to ten business days.

Who processes the money

A third-party payment provider is the merchant of record for every payment on AppRanker. It takes the payment, issues the receipt, handles any tax, and executes any refund. The name on your card statement will therefore not be AppRanker, which is normal and is not a fraudulent charge.

If you do not recognise a charge, write to [email protected] before opening a dispute with your bank. It is faster, and a resolved email costs neither of us anything.
